MAGNOLIA, Ark. – It was a good day for the Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team on Thursday as the Muleriders avenged an early season loss to Henderson State with a 6-1 win, before putting away Ouachita by the same score to move to 2-0 in Great American Conference action. The victories are the third and fourth straight for SAU and they improve the Muleriders' record at the Live Oaks Tennis Court to an unbeaten 17-0 dating back to the program's rebirth for the 2018-19 season.
 
The Muleriders retaliated against the Reddies following a 4-3 loss on February 2 as they claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Angela Vargas and Lena Milosevic beat Mulan Kamoe and Franny Nyarko 6-4, the duo's first loss of the season, while Sarah Roy and Kalley Smith defeated Georjemah Row and Vinda Teally 6-2.
 
Milosevic edged out a singles victory at No. 2 with a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over Row and SAU earned straight sets victories at lines 1, 3, 5 and 6.
 
Southern Arkansas won for the second time this season over Ouachita. SAU swept the action in doubles play and won easily in the top five singles lines as the Tigers managed to reach three games just once.
 
The Muleriders improve to 8-0 all-time in GAC play.
 
Southern Arkansas returns on Saturday, March 27 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, for a 2 p.m. Great American Conference match with Oklahoma Baptist. Results will be made available at www.MuleriderAthletics.com.
