MAGNOLIA – The SAU Volleyball team will play only their second home match of the spring season tomorrow against Henderson State inside the W. T. Watson Center. The Reddies are the first team the Muleriders will play twice this spring, opening the season with a 3-1 defeat in Arkadelphia.
In their last matchup,
Morgan Gross led all players with 15 kills;
Victoria White recorded eight kills and a team-high 13 digs;
Brianna Nipper recorded ten digs and
Morgan Schuster assisted 38 times.
The Muleriders have taken sets in three of their four games, with a pair of matches going the full five sets.
The Muleriders are hitting .139 as a team, ninth in the conference, ahead of the Reddies' who are hitting .118, which is last in the GAC.
Both teams sit in the top five in service aces, with the Muleriders third and the Reddies fourth.
Individually,
Morgan Gross is fifth in the conference with 3.76 kills per set while Mya Robinson leads the Reddies with 2.85 kills per set, 12
th in the conference.
Morgan Schuster is fifth in assists with 9.59 per set and 163 total assists; and, Gross and
Abby Bermudez are both tied for fifth with 0.47 service aces per set.
Brianna Nipper is 18
th with 3.38 digs per set and
Victoria White is 17
th with 3.04 points per set.
