Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Nick Rackley

Muleriders’ Season Ends on Ouachita Buzzer-Beater

Arkadelphia – In the first round of the GAC Tournament, the SAU Women's Basketball team went on the road and held a one-point lead over Ouachita Baptist with 1.1 seconds separating the Muleriders from a win and a trip to top-seed Southwestern Oklahoma. However, an Eden Crow jumper at the buzzer instead ended the Muleriders' 2021 season right then and there.

A game that saw 12 lead changes and 10 ties, as well as the Muleriders shoot 52.2 percent while the Tigers shot 51.5 percent from the field, ended in heartbreak for the Muleriders.

The Muleriders out-rebounded the hosts 36-28 and shot 46.7 percent versus the Tigers' 28.6 percent from deep. The difference proved to be turnovers, with the Muleriders committing 17 of them and the Tigers turning those into 26 points.

Diamond Morris was one of five Muleriders to score in double figures. The Sheridan native scored 17 points, grabbed four rebounds as well as four steals.

Kylie Warren bounced back from not scoring in her last game versus Harding by scoring a season-high 16 points on 6-8 shooting from the field, also making all three of her threes.

Kisi Young and Lillie Moore scored 12 points each, and Kenzie Ezekiel added ten points of her own.

Jerica Bell grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in 12 minutes of action, and Braydyn Hill dished out a team-high four assists.

The Muleriders end their season with a 4-10 overall record.
