Muleriders Hit the Road for Next Round of Games

MAGNOLIA - The SAU Women's Basketball team opens thier third round of games, with all three games coming away from the friendly confines of the W. T. Watson Center, as home games against Ouachita Baptist and Arkansas-Monticello were cancelled due to COVID-19. 

SCOUTING THE MULERIDERS
*The Muleriders are 2-4 on the season and 1-4 in conference play
*The Muleriders are currently fifth in the Eastern Division but only sit a half-game back of Arkansas-Monticello and Henderson State
*Scoring 79 points per game, the Muleriders are fourth in the conference in scoring offense
*The Muleriders are second in rebound in the conference, grabbing 48.0 per game
*Averaging 13.5 steals per game, the Muleriders are fifth in the country in that category
*The Muleriders average 20.2 offensive rebounds per game, third-best in the country
*Kylie Warren recorded her first-career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Muleriders' win over Henderson State
*Warren also leads the conference with a 90.9 percentage from the free-throw line
*Jessica Jones is sixth in the conference with 1.8 made threes per game
*Diamond Morris scored 18 points for the Muleriders in their last matchup versus the Suns
*The Muleriders game against Ouachita Baptist, originally scheduled for February 4th, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues within the Tigers team
*The Muleriders open this round of games with Henderson State, a team the Muleriders beat this past Monday in a non-conference matchup
*The Muleriders game versus Arkansas-Monticello, originally scheduled for February 8th, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues within the Tigers team; both men's teams will now play at 6 p.m.
*The Muleriders then travel to Harding for their first trip to Searcy on the season
*This round of games for the Muleriders closes when they travel to Russellville to face #19 Arkansas Tech
*The Suns have bested the Muleriders in both of their matchups this season and they are currently the only team to have beaten the Muleriders twice this season

SCOUTING THE REDDIES
*The Reddies are 1-4 on the season and 1-3 in conference play; their lone win this season came on opening day over the Muleriders in Arkadelphia
*The Muleriders beat the Reddies 69-53 in a non-conference matchup on February 1, holding the Reddies to only 53 points
*Ashley Farrar is second in the league in scoring, averaging 18.0 points per game
*The Reddies are second in the conference from three-point range, shooting 36.4 percent from deep

SCOUTING THE #19 SUNS
* The Suns are atop the Eastern Division, sitting at 5-0 in conference play and 6-0 overall
* The Suns' last two games have been against the Muleriders, with the Suns claiming victory both times
* Jayana Sanders was named GAC Player of the Week after her game against the Muleriders, when she scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out nine assists
* The Suns shoot a GAC-best 47.4 percent from the field, and opponents only shoot 31.8 percent against them
*Kaley Shipman is third in the conference in scoring with 16.7 points per game

* The Suns are atop the Eastern Division, sitting at 5-0 in conference play and 6-0 overall
* The Suns' last two games have been against the Muleriders, with the Suns claiming victory both times
