WEATHERFORD, Okla. – No. 10 Southern Arkansas earned a Great American Conference series win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday as the Muleriders defeated the host Bulldogs 8-6 in resumed action from Friday's seven-inning game to claim the series. SWOSU salvaged the weekend with a 5-2 victory in the series finale.
Action picked up in game two, which was halted due to darkness on Friday, in the bottom of the sixth inning with SAU ahead 8-5. The Bulldogs pushed across a run on a balk in the seventh, but would be unable to push across any more runs against SAU reliever

Parker Abrego improved to 2-0 on the season as he worked around four earned runs and eight hits on Friday.
In the series finale, the Muleriders took a 2-0 lead through two innings as senior
Austin Baker scored on a throwing error in the first inning and classmate
Josh Walker hit a solo shot out to left field in the second frame. SWOSU took a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning off of SAU reliever
Maddux Solomon. The Bulldogs cushioned the lead with an RBI single in the seventh inning, while a sacrifice fly in the eighth put Southwestern Oklahoma up 5-2.

Kobe Morris accounted for all nine SAU hits in the loss as each player recorded three with Walker's aforementioned solo blast the lone extra base hit. Junior
Jack Liddell got the start for SAU and went 2.2 innings with two strikeouts and just one walk. Sophomore
Jacob Womack worked the fifth, sixth and seventh innings allowing two runs and Kortendick pitched the final two frames.
