ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – #25 Southern Arkansas picked up a road victory on Friday afternoon inside Ouachita's Ward Tennis Center as the nationally-ranked Muleriders topped the host 5-2 behind a doubles sweep and singles victories at lines 2, 3, 4 and 6. The win pushes SAU's 2021 record to 2-1 and Greg Owen's squad will prepare for (RV) Harding on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in Arkadelphia.
 
The doubles teams of Sander Jans and Sofiane Bah, Yuri Gondouin and Marko Nikoliuk, and Ole Lukas Valkyser and Gabriel Breitenmoser all picked up wins over the Tigers. In singles play, Jans defeated Santiago Kearney 7-5, 6-4 at line two, while Nikoliuk edged Tobias Fuershuss at No. 3 by a final score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Valkyser won at line four with a 6-2, 6-2 decision against Alex Blanchar and Bah claimed a straight sets victory at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-3 showing over Fernando Docters.
