MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Playing in front of a nice sized Homecoming crowd, the Southern Arkansas University volleyball was unable to get passed the attack of East Central University as they fell 3-0.

East Central was able to run away with sets one and two, taking set one 25-17, and set two 25-16. Down early 8-2 in the third set, SAU showed lots of fight as they battled back to pull within two points of ECU at 17-15, and then again at 23-21. The Mulerider push would not be enough as ECU was able to tack on the final two points for the 3-0 win.

Morgan Schuster collected a game high 18 assists, to go along with five kills. Victoria White collected eight kills in the contest, followed by Landry Rogers who tallied five.

Bailey Kirk led the Muleriders with seven digs, while Rogers collected five, followed by Samantha Still with four. Abby Bermudez and Kenadee Poy each collected two blocks for SAU.

The Muleriders will hit the road next weekend, as they are set to travel to Oklahoma where they will take on Southern Nazarene University on Thursday, followed by Oklahoma Baptist University on Saturday.
