MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Mulerider Softball program has announced that its 2020 Elite Prospect Showcase will be held Sunday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dawson Field inside the Dr. Margaret Downing Softball Complex.
The showcase is for players in grades 8
th through 12
th (2021-2025 graduates) and will provide the opportunity for those wanting to play at the collegiate level to display their skills.
Cost for the showcase is $125 per player and includes an SAU softball shirt.
Each of the participants is responsible for bringing their own workout clothes and equipment. A one-hour lunch break will be from Noon-1 p.m. and campers will be responsible for their own lunch.
Instruction and evaluation will be provided by the SAU softball staff and players. The deadline to enroll for the showcase is October 17 with a cutoff of 40 campers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Southern Arkansas University and Mulerider Softball will be adhering to state and local guidelines concerning social distancing and masks. No more than three people per participant will be allowed to attend and all fans and participants will be screened prior to being allowed to enter the Dr. Margaret Downing Softball Complex. Additionally, the following measures will be required:
Participant Requirements
*wear a mask in/out of the complex
*wear a mask when social distancing cannot occur (inside dugout)
*bring their own helmet (no sharing allowed)
*bring their own water/drinks
*bring their own hand sanitizer
Spectator Requirements
*wear proper face covering during entry/exit and whenever in transit inside the stadium
*maintain at least 6-foot physical distancing between non-household spectators
*entry fee will not be charged and concessions will not be available for purchase
