Alva, Okla. – The SAU Softball team continued the offensive onslaught in Alva this weekend, "struggling" in game one to a 7-1 win before a 21-2 win saw the Muleriders cap the series by extending their winning streak to 12 games on the bounce.
Jaxynn Dyson started the scoring in game one with an RBI single up the middle in the second inning.
Laina Suesue would go deep for her second homerun of the season to double the lead an inning later, with
Faith Otts scoring later in the inning on a Northwestern error.
The Rangers would pull a run back in the fourth inning, scoring on a fielder's choice.
Dyson would produce another RBI single, scoring
Sarah Evans for the second time.
Suesue would cap the scoring in the seventh inning with a bases-clearing double, one of three doubles she hit on the day.
Sydney Wader picked up the win, improving to 11-0 on the season. The senior went the distance, allowing six hits, one run while only walking one and striking out one.
The Muleriders only needed three batters to get the scoring started in game two, with
Elisa Favela singling in Suesue.
The Muleriders would then score 10 runs in the second inning – a Suesue single up the middle scored a pair of runs; an Otts sacrifice fly drove and a Fagan double each drove in a run; Evans hit a three-run homerun, going back-to-back with Hill, who homered the next at-bat;
Alese Casper scored on a fielder's choice; and Suesue capped the scoring with an RBI double.
The Rangers hit a pair of RBI singles in the bottom half of the inning to make it 11-2, however the Muleriders still had 10 runs left to score.
Evans hit her second home-run of the game, a solo shot, to add on a run in the third inning; the Muleriders would score their final nine runs in the fourth inning.
Otts sent a three-run shot over the fence; Favela went back-to-back with Otts with a solo shot. Pinch hitter
Makana Morton walked with the bases loaded; Morton, Dyson and Casper all scored on a error by the Rangers left fielder; and Otts ended the scoring with an RBI single to make it 21-2.

For Phillips, Lunsford and Morton, it marked their first collegiate at-bat, with Phillips picking up a hit.
Elisa Favela picked up the win, throwing the first three innings. The senior allowed three hits, two runs and struck out four.
Crystine Kistner threw two perfect innings of relief, striking out two in the process.
The Muleriders are now 18-2 on the season and 8-0 in conference play, winners of their last 12. They are in action next weekend as they host Southwestern Oklahoma in a four-game series.
