RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Men's Tennis team competed on Friday and Saturday in Russellville at the Great American Conference Individual Championships and among the performances were a pair of individual flight winners as well as doubles team that claimed a first-place medal.
 
Sophomore Sofiane Bah edged teammate Alexandre Machaj in the flight two final, while senior Aleksandr Pokusaev topped Ouachita's Seth Hernandez in the flight four title. The SAU doubles team of sophomore Gustavo Kerber and freshman newcomer Gianfranco Germinara rolled through three different conference duos to win the flight two title behind a 6-0 win over Ouachita's Hernandez and Santiago Kearney.
 
In consolation matches, sophomore Yuri Gondouin won a stacked flight one consolation final with a 6-4 victory over Harding's Dani Ortiz. The doubles team of sophomores Raymond Marin and Iker Brull topped Harding's James Moore and Matthew Mihalko.
