EDMOND, Okla. – The Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team saw its remarkable season come to an end on Tuesday afternoon in Edmond, Oklahoma, as the Lady Muleriders suffered a 4-0 defeat to No. 7 Central Oklahoma; the top seed in the Central Region. The loss comes a day after the team made program history by notching its first ever NCAA postseason victory: a 4-3 win over Southwest Baptist.
 
In the program's first season of NCAA action since 2011-12, the SAU Women finish their campaign at 25-5 overall and as Great American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions. Led by first-year head coach and GAC Men's & Women's Tennis Coach of the Year Greg Owen, the Lady Muleriders placed four players on all-conference teams, including GAC Freshman of the Year Angela Vargas.
 
In Tuesday's match, the second meeting between UCO and SAU this season, the Lady Muleriders dropped the doubles point and the Bronchos picked up singles victories on lines five, two and one, respectively, to claim the match.
