BENTONVILLE, Ark. – If there was any doubt that Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis player
Joanna Nowakowska was deserving of a unanimous All-Great American Conference First-Team selection, it was erased on Friday afternoon as the junior rallied from an opening set defeat to Arkansas Tech's Katharina Drebka to win 6-1 and 6-2 in the final two sets to clinch the match 4-3 over the Golden Suns.
SAU will face Harding at 2 p.m. for the GAC Tournament Championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Championships. A manual-refresh championship stat page is available here:

Simone Simas won at line four to put the Lady Muleriders on the board. GAC Freshman of the Year and first-team performer
Angela Vargas won at line three and second-team standout
Lena Milosevic claimed a line five victory as SAU took a 3-2 lead. Freshman
Serena Gill was narrowly edged at line six which set the stage for Nowakowska who rallied after a 6-3 loss in set one.
