MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team toppled No. 23 Harding on Tuesday afternoon from the Live Oaks Tennis Courts as the Lady Muleriders picked up their fifth straight win with a 4-2 decision over the Bisons in Great American Conference action. SAU, ranked No. 26 in the country, improves to 19-4 overall and 3-0 in league play with four matches remaining on the team's regular season schedule; three of which are GAC contests.
 
Two days after knocking off defending GAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion Oklahoma Baptist 6-1, the Lady Muleriders downed Harding to put themselves one step closer to a regular season championship.
 
On Tuesday, the Lady Muleriders controlled the match after staking claim to the doubles point which included the duo of freshman Angela Vargas and junior Joanna Nowakowska topping #21 Arisa Takanashi and Rylie Cox 6-2. Freshmen Lena Milosevic and Serena Gill took care of the Bisons' Allison Carpenter and Allison Jenkins 6-3.
 
In singles action, Vargas picked up a much needed win with a three-set victory (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) over Hana Folse, while freshman classmate Simone Simas beat #38 Lindy Carpenter 7-6 (2), 7-5 in a tight contest. Milosevic handled Jenkins 6-0, 6-3.
