WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Southern Arkansas Men's Tennis team pushed their winning streak to seven matches on Friday as the Muleriders, who are receiving votes in the most recent Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Top 25, dismissed a pair of Colorado opponents. SAU beat Metropolitan State University of Denver 4-1, before defeating Colorado State-Pueblo 7-0. Southern Arkansas faces Colorado Mesa tomorrow morning, Saturday, March 9, at 9 a.m. Results will be made available at www.MuleriderAthletics.com.
 
In the opener against the Roadrunners of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Southern Arkansas picked up the doubles point with wins on lines two and three, while singles lines four, five and six helped the Muleriders finish off Metro State.
 
Alexandre Machaj outlasted MSUD's Mateo Besada in three sets, while Raymond Marin Garcia topped the Roadrunners' David Kijak in two sets. Natiphat Mulada finished off the three freshmen's victories with a 6-0, 6-0 decision against Kacey Walisundara.
 
In Friday afternoon's tilt with the Thunderwolves, the Muleriders won all three matches of the doubles competition. In the singles action, Southern Arkansas saw Machaj and Mulada each rally from opening set defeats to win in three sets, while Gustavo Kerber won his second singles match in as many tries this spring with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Pueblo's Rafael Abreu in line six play.
