Louisville, KY – The SAU Softball team, for the first time in their program's history, find themselves ranked first in this week's National Fastpitch Coach Association Division II Poll.

Their previous highest ranking was second in the NFCA Coaches Poll back on March 8, 2017. The Muleriders received all 16 first-place votes following a week that saw the Muleriders go 7-0, including three wins over Harding, who were receiving votes.

This also sees the Muleriders maintain their spot as the top team in the Central Region. Central Oklahoma is second in the region and eighth overall. Augustana (SD) is next at 22^nd overall and third in the region and Winona State is receiving votes and fourth in the Central Region.

The Muleriders hit the road to take on Southwestern Oklahoma State this weekend in Weatherford in a four-game conference series.
