Culver City, Calif. - After being named the GAC's Pitcher and Player of the Week this past week, junior pitcher
Elisa Favela was recognized nationally by Fastpitch News as their Division II National Pitcher of the Week.
The Hawaiian hurler dominated the Rangers in the circle this weekend, throwing two no-hitters in her first two starts of the season. Favela struck out 16 batters and only walked three over 12 innings of work as Favela herself drove in more runs than the Rangers as a team this past weekend.
In the circle, Favela is 4-0 on the season in four appearances, all coming against conference opposition. Favela owns a 0.37 ERA in 19 innings, striking out 21 batters while only allowing six hits and five walks on the season and opponents are only hitting .097 against Favela.
The Ewa Beach native is the second Mulerider to be honored by Fastpitch News this season, with
Victoria Taylor winning the same honor after the season's opening weekend.
The Muleriders are in action this weekend in Weatherford, Oklahoma as they take on Southwestern Oklahoma State in a four-game conference series.
