MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Mulerider Tennis teams each picked up a pair of wins this weekend at home and had little problem doing so as the SAU Men knocked off Newman (4-1) and McKendree (6-1), while the SAU Women topped Newman (6-1) and McKendree (7-0) as well.
 
For the Muleriders, who are receiving votes in the latest Oracle/ITA Division II Team Rankings, the wins improve the team's overall record in its first year of NCAA competition to 14-2. Southern Arkansas has won ten straight matches following February 16 losses to Texas-Permian Basin (1-4) and defending NJCAA Division I National Champions Tyler Junior College.
 
The Lady Muleriders have won three-consecutive matches and carry an overall record of 14-3 and join the Muleriders in sporting an unblemished 7-0 record at home inside the friendly confines of the Live Oaks Tennis Courts.
 
Southern Arkansas hits the road for a spring break swing of Alabama as both teams will play four matches against Division II opponents from the Heart of Dixie. Results of all of the matches will be made available at www.MuleriderAthletics.com.
 
SAU begins their spring break with a 2 p.m. matchup with West Alabama on Monday in Livingston, Alabama. On the men's side, the Tigers are ranked No. 23 in the country. On Tuesday, the teams make their way to Montgomery for a 1 p.m. match with Auburn-Montgomery and on Wednesday both teams play Montevallo beginning at noon. The tour concludes with a 10:30 a.m. meeting with Alabama-Huntsvill on Thursday.
