Durant, Okla. – The SAU Women's Basketball team dropped their GAC contest tonight against Southeastern Oklahoma State despite entering the half with a seven-point lead, including a 12-point lead at one point in the second quarter.

Briley Moon led all scorers with 20 points for the Savage Storm.

The Muleriders outscored the Savage Storm 17-9 to enter the half with a 32-25 lead; however, the Muleriders only scored three points in the third quarter as the Savage Storm put 19 points on the board to reclaim the lead and did not concede it for the rest of the contest.

As a team, the Muleriders shot 21.2 percent in the second half after shooting 44.4 percent in the first half.

Olivia McWilliams led the Muleriders in scoring with a season-high 12 points on 5-11 shooting from the floor. The senior guard went 2-3 from three-point range, also grabbing three rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block.

Jerica Bell grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for the Muleriders. The freshman post also scored six points, dished two assists and blocked a shot.

Junior Tamera Shaver scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds in 27 minutes on the floor, and freshman Ariana Guinn scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds, threw two assists and blocked a shot. Brette Wacha led the team in assists with three, also scoring three points.

The Muleriders are 2-23 on the season and 1-18 in conference play; their final road game of the season is this Saturday as they take on East Central.
