Texarkana, Texas – The SAU Women's Basketball team closed out their 2019 calendar on a high note, dominating from wire to wire in Texarkana over Texas A&M-Texarkana by a score of 110-52.
The Muleriders close their non-conference schedule with a 4-0 record on the year, the first time since the 2015-16 season. Their 8-2 start to the season is also the best since 15-16.

Their 40 field goals made is the fourth-most in program history, just shy of the 44 made on two different occasions; their 28 assists are tied for second most, just short of the 30 forced versus LeMoyne-Owen on December 17, 2015; and their 24 steals are tied for fifth-most all-time, just shy of the record 34 set in 2004.
The Muleriders established two new single-game records in rebounding and three-pointers made. The Muleriders grabbed 68 rebounds, besting the previous mark of 66 against Henderson State on February 10, 2003. The Muleriders also made 13 three-pointers on the day, besting the previous record of 11, done five times previously and last done so on February 9, 2013 versus Southeastern Oklahoma.
Kylie Warren led the three-point barrage, going 4-6 from deep.
Tamera Shaver and
Braydyn Hill both made three threes each, and Brown,
Erin Brinkley and
Fatarah Kinnard each made a three for the new record.

Maggie Evans was the other Mulerider with seven rebounds; the Conway native scored three points, dished out four assists and grabbed three steals in 14 minutes of action; Kinnard scored three points, grabbed three rebounds, and had two assists and four steals in ten minutes.
The Muleriders held a 70-26 halftime advantage, propelled by a 42-11 second quarter. Last season, the Muleriders had only three games last season scoring 70 or more points. The Mulerider bench also outscored the Eagles 90-5 and outscored them on second-chance points 31-2.
The Muleriders are back in action on January 2
