SAU Volleyball honors seniors; concludes season versus Arkansas Tech

Magnolia – The SAU Volleyball team closed out their season tonight inside the W. T. Watson Center against Arkansas Tech as they honored the three seniors on their roster before the game.

In her final game, Seven Powers led all players with 12 kills as well as .320 attack percentage.

Morgan Schuster finished with a game-high 34 assists to bring her rookie season total to 873 assists. The Arlington, Texas native averaged 9.19 assists per set, as she did not leave the floor for the Muleriders this season.

Powers, Kayley Davis and Katie Heese capped off their careers tonight as their combined eight years of service concluded.

Kayley Davis, who recorded four digs tonight, finishes with 337 digs and 1.89 digs per set over two seasons, as the defensive specialist was one of three players to play in every set this season.

Heese, an outside hitter from Platte City, Missouri, finishes with 31 kills. She reached her career-high in kills to open the season against Tuskegee with 10.

Powers puts the bow on a prolific career, finishing with 846 career kills, tenth all-time in school history. The North Little Rock product attempted 2,670 attempts in her four years in Magnolia, sixth all-time.

Powers' 289 kills this season are the most she has accrued in a single season as her 934 career points also places her 10th all-time. She was one of three players to play in every set; like Schuster, Powers did not leave the floor this season for the Muleriders.
