Magnolia – The SAU Volleyball team fell to Harding in conference play tonight in the W. T. Watson Center, giving the Bisons a scare as they took the second set from the visitors; also had them reeling in set three before the Bisons stormed back to take the set, and eventually, the match.
Junior
Morgan Gross was the central figure for the Mulerider effort tonight, as the southpaw recorded a career-high 19 kills to lead all players on the night. The Bandera, Texas native did so while hitting .459 on the night; also tallying three service aces, two blocks, seven digs and an assist along the way.

The .459 attack percentage is also a season-high for Gross; the junior has also notched eight service aces in the past two games.
Seven Powers and
Abby Bermudez join Gross in burying ten or more kills, with 11 and 10, respectively.
Bermudez hit .421 on the night and blocked two Harding attacks; Powers recorded seven digs, a block and an ace.
Alana Perez had a team-high 14 digs and
Morgan Schuster assisted Mulerider attackers 41 times, the third time this season the freshman has recorded 40 or more assists in a four-set contest.
The Muleriders are back in action on Tuesday in a Battle of the Timberlands matchup in Monticello.
