The No. 6- ranked Southern Arkansas (29-3) travels to Ouachita Baptist this weekend for a four-game GAC slate against the Lady Tigers beginning with a twin-bill on Friday at 4 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday slated for an 2 p.m. first-pitch.

The Lady Muleriders enter the weekend having won 19 of their last 20 games on the schedule, which includes a current 10-game win streak after sweeping the GAC series over Northwestern Oklahoma on the road last weekend.

For the eighth-straight week, the Lady Mulerider softball team has been one of the top-15 nationally ranked teams in the NFCA DII coaches poll, and has been tabbed in the top-10 for the last three weeks, with its highest rank this season coming this week in the sixth-spot.

Powering the hot start to the season for the Lady Muleriders is an offense that leads the GAC in on-base percentage (.427) and slugging percentage (.628), which also ranks third in the nation. Additionally, the SAU bats own top five marks in seven other offensive categories including runs scored, hits, RBI, walks, and home runs. The team's 66 dingers leads the league and its per game home run average of 2.11 is the top mark in the nation.

In the circle, the Lady Muleriders own the league's lowest team-ERA at 1.95 and opponent batting average at .223 As a staff, SAU has struck out 186 batters, ranking them first in the league in that category, and
has allowed the fewest run, earned runs, hits, and walks in the GAC.

Ouachita Baptist heads into the weekend with a 8-12 record in GAC play that currently ranks them at seventh in the league standings. The Lady Tigers own a team slash of .312/.433/.372 and ranks in the top-five
in the league in batting average and slugging percentage.

The OBU pitching staff, through 27 games, holds a 3.90 team-ERA with 120 strikeouts and has allowed 124 runs in 185.0 innings pitched. In that, the pitching staff ranks in the top-5 in the GAC in strikeouts, hits allowed, runs and earned runs allowed,

Defensively, OBU ranks in the top-5 in the GAC in fielding percentage at .965.
