                 MAGNOLIA, Ark. – A day after completing their first Great American Conference series against Southeastern Oklahoma State, the Southern Arkansas baseball team is back in action at home tonight for a mid-week non-conference game with Henderson State.
 
First-pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Walker Stadium at Goodheart Field.
 
The Muleriders will come into the game 6-4 overall after going 2-1 on the weekend against Southeastern. The Reddies enter the Tuesday night tilt at 6-3 and are coming off of a three-game sweep of Southern Nazarene this past weekend.
 
As a team, the Muleriders are currently hitting .258 with 16 doubles, three triples, and 12 home runs. Conversely, the Reddies are also hitting .258, but have seven doubles, three triples and no home runs. In terms of pitching, SAU has posted a 3.77 team ERA and has struck out 94 batters in 86.0 innings. Opponents are also hitting .231 off of the Mulerider pitching staff. For the Reddies, their pitching staff has a 4.62 ERA and totaled 76 strikeouts in 78.0 innings of work. Henderson's opposition is hitting .244 against their pitching staff on the young season.
 
The leading hitter for the Muleriders in terms of average is 
Sam Mrstik at .350 (7-for-20). 
Jacob Richardson leads the team in home runs with four, while 
Mark Fontenot is the top RBI man with 12. For the Reddies, they have two batters leading the way in average at .333 with 
Taylor Langston and Dylan McCain sharing the mark. Nolan Ryan and Brandon Pollock are currently pacing the team with seven RBIs each.
 
Last year, the Muleriders and Reddies played six times with the season series knotting at three apiece. In that, SAU swept the GAC series over HSU, but the Reddies claimed the mid-week game and both meetings in the GAC Tournament.
