  • Emporia State tied the contest in the bottom of that frame after scoring on a passed ball and neither teams would score again until the fifth where Duran blasted a solo bomb to give SAU the go-ahead run, 2-1.
  • Emporia quickly answered in the bottom of that frame as they plated a pair of runs on a pair of hits, aided by two errors, to take the lead from SAU, 3-2.
  • The Lady Muleriders made it a tie ballgame in the top of the sixth courtesy of Roye's RBI single that plated pinch hitter Hallie Saintigna, who drew a four-pitch walk to lead off the inning, but Emporia State eventually secured the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh on a bases-loaded fielding error that plated the go-ahead run, 4-3.
