Magnolia, Ark. – The Muleriders lost today's home GAC matchup to Ouachita despite a double-double from senior
Alyssa Crase.
The forward from Greenwood recorded 10 points on 4-5 shooting from the field and two makes from the free-throw line, as well as grabbing 10 rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Crase also added one steal, one block and two steals.
Guards
Brette Wacha and
Camryn Fennell led the Muleriders in scoring with 13 points. Wacha's 13 points came on 5-11 shooting from the floor, including 3-7 from behind the arc. The Texarkana native added three rebounds, two steals and two assists in 34 minutes of game time. Fennell's points came on 4-7 shooting from the field, making one of her attempts from three. Fennell also made all four of her free throw attempts, had four assists and four steals.
As a team, the Muleriders shot 16-51 (.314) from the floor, as well as shooting 7-25 (.280) from three and 16-18 (.889) from the charity stripe.
The Muleriders, led by Crase and sophomore
Maggie Evans, who had seven rebounds of her own, out-rebounded the Tigers 30-28 on the night.
Evans also had four steals and a block in her 22 minutes on the floor.
The Muleriders drop to 1-6 on the season, with a 0-3 record in the GAC. The Muleriders return to action next week in Russellville to take on Arkansas Tech to conclude their GAC account for 2018 before ending the year with a pair of non-conference home games.
