Magnolia, Ark. -Â The SAU Women's Basketball team plays their final home conference game of the calendar year this Saturday when they take on Ouachita in the W. T. Watson Center. The Muleriders are coming off a tough opening weekend that saw them drop a home game against Henderson State, and an away fixture at Harding. The Ouachita Baptist Tigers are coming off an opening weekend that saw them lose at home to Arkansas Tech before hitting the road and beating Arkansas-Monticello 58-56 on the weekend.Â
The Tigers are led by Eden Crow. Crow is averaging 14.3 points per game as well as 8.1 rebounds per game. Alivia Huell follows behind her, with 12.7 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game. As a team, the Tigers shoot 39.1 percent from the floor and 29.2 percent from behind the arc.Â
The Muleriders are led by
Ariana Guinn, who leads the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game. The freshman point guard is shooting 30.8 percent from the floor, and 88.9 percent from the free throw line. Fellow freshman point guard
Camryn Fennell, who is second on the team in scoring with 5.6 points per game, is currently leading the squad in assists, with 3.5 assists per game. Senior forward
Alyssa Crase currently leads the team on the glass, averaging 6.3 rebounds per game.Â
Following this weekend, the Muleriders go on the road to face Arkansas Tech in Russellville on December 12th. The Muleriders will then host a pair of games to close the calendar year.
