Monticello, AR - The SAU volleyball team fell in four sets tonight in a conference tie against Arkansas-Monticello, losing in four sets.
The Muleriders quickly fell behind in the first set as the Blossoms did not relinquish the lead and went on to win 25-18.
The Muleriders fell behind 6-1 early in set two before going on a 24-18 run to force a set point; however, the Blossoms were able to rally and take set two 28-26.
Set three saw nine lead changes and a role reversal, as this time the Blossoms forced a set point at 24-22; however, the Muleriders were able to win four straight points and take the set 26-22.
The momentum on the Muleriders side, they led by scores of 5-1 and 10-4 in set four, but the Blossoms had three different 4-0 runs that propelled their set comeback and eventual victory by a score of 27-25.

Seven Powers had a game-high 18 kills for the Muleriders, with freshman
Abby Bermudez having a game-high six blocks and freshman
Caitlin Murdock, a game-high 48 assists.
Freshman
Camryn Bihary had 15 digs on the day, bringing her digs per set average up to 4.61.
The Muleriders (8-17, 2-10 GAC) come home to take on Harding on October 23rd at 6 p.m. at the W.T. Watson Center.
