Hudson adds second All-America honor

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – A week removed from garnering his first All-America honor for his 2017 season, Southern Arkansas football's Tanner Hudson adds another All-America plaudit as he has been tabbed as second-team selection at the Tight End position by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) as it was announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Hudson's initial All-America honor was announced last Wednesday, December 6 and was awarded by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
 
Just this past Sunday, Hudson continued to add to his sensational collegiate resume and improve his professional prospects as well after being named as the Offensive MVP of the National Bowl Game. In that game, Hudson led all players in receptions (7), receiving yards (117), and touchdowns (2).
 
SAU's first D2CCA All-America selection since 2009 (then known as Daktronics), Hudson enjoyed a great senior season as he led the team and ranked sixth in the GAC in receiving yards with 624. He was also second on the team and led tight ends in the GAC in receptions and receiving touchdowns with 43 catches and six scores.
 
In each of his last three seasons, Hudson caught at least 40 passes for over 600 yards and had at least six touchdowns. For his career, Hudson totaled 143 receptions for 2,152 yards and 25 touchdowns.
