DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Southern Arkansas outgoing senior
Tanner Hudson played in the National Bowl Game this past Sunday morning, and as Mulerider fans came to expect on a weekly basis during his three-year run at SAU, Hudson shined in the game and was named Offensive MVP.

Hudson, who played for the American Team in the game, led all players in receptions with seven (7) and receiving yards with 117, while his two receiving touchdowns were tied for the most in the game.
His first touchdown reception came early in the second quarter and was a seven-yard connection with Matthew Foltz. It also was the first of what ended up being a 28-point quarter for the American Team, who went on to rout the National Team, 48-13.
Hudson's second touchdown came minutes later in the second quarter as this time he was the recipient of a 10-yard pass from National Bowl Overall MVP, Patrick O'Brien, who threw four touchdowns in the game.
Hudson recently earned All-America honors through the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) for his senior season and awaits further post-season accolades as well as professional football prospects.
