BETHANY, Okla. – Jaron Davis scored a game-high 27 points and
Deon Andrews added 17 points, but Southern Arkansas was unable to overcome a 40-27 halftime deficit as the Muleriders fell 77-69 to Southern Nazarene inside the Sawyer Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Muleriders (14-7, 10-5 GAC) trailed for over 36 minutes in the Great American Conference matchup, but were able to pull within three points, 63-60, at the 4:41 mark of the second half. However, SNU would close out the game on a 14-9 run.
The Crimson Storm outscored SAU 15-2 in fastbreak points as Southern Nazarene improved to 12-9, 8-7 in the GAC.
Southern Arkansas will head back to Magnolia for a two-game home stand beginning Thursday, February 12
th against East Central University. Tip-off from the W.T. Watson Athletic Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
