ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas women's basketball team concluded their 2012-13 season on the road as they fell to Henderson State by a score of 88-58 on Saturday afternoon at the Duke Wells Center.
The Lady Muleriders (0-25, 0-20 GAC), who trailed the entirety of the game, put in a valiant effort in their regular season finale, but it would not be enough on Saturday as they ran into an efficient and balanced scoring attack from the Lady Reddies (13-13, 8-12 GAC).
The Lady Reddies, who shot 48% for the game (31-of-64), had all 10 of their available players score in the game. Similarly, the Lady Muleriders also put together a balanced scoring attack as they had eight players score with three finishing in double figures.
Lauren Jay and
Bria Snowden led the team with 13 points while
Katherine McBride added 12 points.
As a team, the Lady Muleriders improved their shooting from the first half as they ended the second half shooting at a clip of 38% (12-of-32). The Lady Muleriders would finish the game with an overall 30% (19-of-64) success rate from the floor.
The Lady Muleriders finish the year with a 0-25 record.
