MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas women's basketball team fell to the first-place Arkansas Tech Golden Suns by a score of 83-60 on Saturday afternoon inside the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.
For the game, the Lady Muleriders (0-23, 0-18 GAC) had four players score in double figures with
Lauren Jay providing a game-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor while coming off the bench. Starters
Bria Snowden,
Katherine McBride, and
Tori Nichols rounded out the double-figure scoring for the Lady Muleriders.
The Golden Suns (18-6, 15-3 GAC), who led in the game from wire-to-wire, matched the Lady Muleriders in players scoring in double figures as Cara Neighbors, Jasmine Poole, Roselis Silva, and Jessica Weatherford each reached the mark. Silva would lead the team with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
The Lady Muleriders will next be in action on Thursday, February 28th as they will play their final home game of the year against Arkansas-Monticello. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
