Landon Simpson helped the Muleriders avoid a series sweep to Southwestern Oklahoma as he threw a shutout in the final game of the series.

In the shutout, Simpson would work seven innings, scatter five hits, walk one and strike out six. The shutout also lowered Simpson's season ERA to under 2.00, currently standing at 1.85
