William Townsend, the current GAC Player of the Week, became the third Mulerider baseball player to earn a GAC weekly award after he had at least one hit, scored one run, and had one RBI in all three games of the series against Southwestern Oklahoma.
 
In the first two games, both SAU wins, Townsend was 6-for-9 with three runs scored and three RBIs.
 
Overall for the week, Townsend was 7-for-12 with four runs scores and four RBIs. Three of his seven hits this week were extra-base hits as he had one double and two triples.
