Claudine Blancaflor claimed the first event win for Southern Arkansas in the Track and Field season with a 5:10.27 finish in the women's one mile at the A-State Indoor Invitational over the weekend. Blancaflor edged out Memphis' Arnica Zitting by 0:00.32. Additionally Blancaflor's time was better than 15 Division I runners in the event.
