When you think of Mulerider Baseball and what it stands for you have to think of a player like Jason Dahl. Dahl, a senior outfielder from Batesville, is entering his sixth year with the Mulerider baseball team, thanks to a redshirt and medical redshirt year. Dahl demonstrates some of the foundational characteristics of a Mulerider baseball player: unrivaled work ethic, loyal, trustworthy, touch, consistent, and a champions mentality, according to Head Coach Steve Browning.
“What makes Jason standout is the fact that he is student teaching and coaching this semester,” Browning said. “He is up every morning lifting weights at 6 a.m. with the baseball team and then heads off to Magnolia Junior High to teach and coach football. There are a lot of days that he works till late into the evening then comes out to the baseball field to get his work in.”
