Yvette Mejia is a senior athletic training major from Eagle Pass, Texas. She transferred to SAU from Angelo State University as a sophomore. She got her start as an athletic training student at Eagle Pass High School, working for former Mulerider athletic training student Brian Dodd.
Yvette has worked hard to achieve her goal of a certified athletic trainer. As a senior, she is responsible for assisting Head Athletic Trainer Ken Cole with the daily athletic training duties at football. After graduation, she plans to return to south Texas and work in a high school as an athletic trainer.
“Yvette is a hard-working, dependable student who has developed a strong sense of professionalism,” Cole said. “She is someone who will be an asset to any program with which she works.”
