Brandon Demmings is a junior guard from Indianapolis, Indiana. Described by his coach as “a true student-athlete,” he transferred to SAU as a business major with a 3.2 grade point average.
“As hard as Brandon works on the basketball court, he works even harder in his studies,” said Head Men’s Basketball Coach Andy Sharpe.
Demmings has volunteered to represent the athletic department on multiple community service events.
“As a coach, it is refreshing to have someone like Brandon truly volunteer his time to go on as many Muleriders in Magnolia events as possible.” Sharpe said. “With very little down time for athletes, Brandon has truly shown his character and servant leadership attributes by going out of his way to help such a great cause.”
Demmings approaches basketball and academics as a job. He always handles his business in a first class manner and represents the program and University well, according to Sharpe.
