Coach “V” is entering season 1 with the Muleriders after spending the previous six seasons coaching the offensive line at his alma mater Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. During his tenure, Vanosdell has been an integral part of the SWC Builders most successful run in program history, winning 3 KCAC Conference Championships (2024, 2022, 2021) and making three trips to the NAIA National Championship Playoffs (2024, 2022, 2021). His offensive lines during that successful run have also been some of the most decorated units in the country, coaching 4 NAIA All-Americans, 17 All-Conference selections and the 2020 Remington Award Winner, given to the nation’s top Center.
In 2025, his men up front helped pave the way for one of NAIA Football’s most explosive offenses, finishing the season ranked #2 in NAIA in Total Offense, averaging an impressive 51.9 points per game. They also finished 2nd nationally in Total Touchdowns (82) and Passing Touchdowns (41). His 2025 unit placed 3 offensive linemen on the KCAC All-Conference team, and junior Austin Tener was also honored as a member of the 2025 American Football Coaches Association All-American Team.
In 2024, the Builders’ offense also had plenty of success, averaging 39.8 points per game en route to winning the program’s best 11-games and the 2024 KCAC Conference Championship.
Vanosdell is originally from Buckeye, Arizona and played football at Southwestern College from 2016-2019. He was an offensive guard each of his four years and was a 3-time KCAC All-Conference selection.. Yancey graduated in 2020 from Southwestern College with a Bachelor's in Sports Management with an emphasis in Business Administration. Vanosdell also received his Masters in Education in 2022 from Southwestern College.
Yancey is married to his wife of 3 years, Alexis, and together they have two sons, Karter & Kamden.
