Kelsey Betthauser enters her third season as an assistant track and field coach at Southern Arkansas, where she coaches the throwers.
In her inaugural campaign in Magnolia, a shortened 2020 season, Betthauser coached the Mulerider throwers to 11 events wins in two meets.
She joined the Mulerider coaching staff following a semester-long stint as a graduate assistant at McKendree University.
Prior to her time at McKendree, Betthauser was a four-year letter winner as a thrower at the University of Dubuque, a Division III school in Iowa.
Betthauser has also worked as a Strength Coach at MERGE Performance Institute in Iowa and as an intern at EXOS in San Diego, implementing training regimens for clients of all ages.
Betthauser has degrees in Wellness and Exercise Science and Psychology from Dubuque; she is currently working on her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from McKendree.
