HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Men's Golf team recorded a fourth-place finish today as they wrapped up play at the Battle for the Belt event as they finished +4 over par as a team with a total of 868 total strokes.
Carter Bell was the top finisher for the Muleriders as he made his SAU debut. Bell finished tied for 6
th overall at -3 under par with 213 total strokes.
Collin Spangler was the next highest individual finisher in 17
th place at +2 over par and 218 total strokes.
Luke Cote finished tied for 18
th overall at +3 over par with 219 total strokes.
Martin Hurtado finished tied for 23
rd overall at +4 over par and 220 total strokes.
Jett Stephenson rounded out the field for the Muleriders team scores tying for 41
st overall at +9 over par and 225 total strokes.
Travis Bassett competed as an individual for the Muleriders and tied for 18
th overall at +3 over par with 219 total strokes.
Will Blake also competed as an individual for the Blue and Gold finishing 45
th overall at +10 over par with 226 total strokes.
Next Up:
The Mulerider men will be back in action on October 6th-7th at the Hrnciar event hosted by Cameron University. The event will take place at The Territory Golf and Country Club.
