ROCKWALL, Texas – The Southern Arkansas University Men's Golf team wrapped up their fall season in style recording a top five finish as a team at the DBU Classic in Rockwall Texas.
 
The men finished fourth overall in the tournament at +4 over par and with 868 total strokes. The men finished over three ranked teams including, #33 Midwestern State, #11 UT Permian Basin, and #25 DBU (B).
 
Luke Cote led the charge for the Muleriders finishing in 3rd place at -5 under par with 211 total strokes. The senior from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canda recorded 12 birdies across three rounds of play along with an eagle in the second round. Cote shot -3 (69) in round one, -1 (71) in round two, and -1 (71) in round three to put the cap on a strong performance.
 
Martin Hurtado also recorded a top 10 finish individually as he tied for 8th overall at even par with 216 total strokes. Travis Bassett finished tied for 23rd overall at +5 over par with 221 total strokes. Collin Spangler finished tied for 33rd overall at +8 over par with 224 total strokes. Carter Bell rounded out the team scoring for the Blue and Gold finishing tied for 64th at +16 over par and 232 total strokes.
