Live Oak Tennis Courts

The Live Oak Tennis Courts feature seven full-sized tennis courts as well as a championship court with bleacher seating available on the eastside of the complex.

On August 28, 2018, in conjunction with the revitalization of both the Mulerider Men’s and Women’s tennis programs, Southern Arkansas University unveiled renovated tennis courts as they christened the new facility as the Live Oak Tennis Courts; named after the line of oak trees that border the facility to the south. Additionally, the championship court was also dedicated in honor of Oliver M. Clegg, a Magnolia native and 1938 graduate of Magnolia A&M who received the University’s Distinguished Alumnus award in 1992.

Of those that spoke on the day of the facility dedication was head coach Greg Owen who addressed the public for the first time since his November hire. “We’ve got athletes from all over the world; far away from their families. But when we practiced on these courts for the first time, we all thought it felt like Home Sweet Home.” And like home it surely has felt during the first two years of competition for both programs post-revitalization. The two teams boast a combined and unbeaten record of 26-0 when playing on the Live Oak Tennis Courts.

The complex will be open for campus and community play during the following hours:
