Denise De Vine is a junior outside hitter from Lake Elsinore, Calif. According to Coach Steve Gream, she has been a key part of the Lady Muleriders’ early season success. She had 20 kills and 29 digs against OBU during a match on Oct. 15 which led to her being named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
“She is focused on the success of the team and strives to improve every day,” Gream said. “Denise leads our team in kills per set and total kills and is second on our team in total digs and digs per set.”
Denise came to SAU after Christmas 2011 and participated in spring classes at SAU. During the spring and summer, she helped SAU volleyball with various camps and clinics.
“Denise is a great volleyball player who is passionate about the game and helping her team win each and every night,” Gream said. “This passion carries over to her teammates and fellow SAU athletes in their sports. When you see Denise play, you see a desire to succeed at a high level as an athlete.”
