Ashton Atwell had a monster week at the plate and helped lead the Lady Muleriders to a 3-1 record over four game played at the UAM 8-State Classic.
In those four games, Atwell would hit .600 (9-for-15) with seven runs scored and eight RBIs. Five of the nine hits this week went for extra bases as Atwell hit one double and four homeruns. For the week, Atwell slugged 1.467
After going 1-for-4 in the Lady Muleriders first game, a loss to NW Missouri State, Atwell's bat got red hot as she was 8-for-11 with seven runs scored, seven RBIs, one double, and four homeruns over the final three games, all SAU wins.Â
