Sara Mercado, a senior from El Paso, Texas, is the co-team captain of the Mulerider women’s Cross Country team. A disciplined student-athlete, she always performs well in practices and meets, according to Coach Tim Servis. She has finished in the top seven throughout her career with Southern Arkansas.
Sara also participates in a wide variety of campus organizations including the ultimate Frisbee intramural team, Biology Club, HKR Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and she also attends games of other sports on campus.
“She is a very mature, disciplined, and positive student,” said Servis. “Sara has an optimistic outlook on life.”
