Sinclair Pitts reset his program record mark in the hammer throw event after he logged a fourth-place finish with a toss of 158' 8" on Friday afternoon at the Louisiana Classics. In doing so, Pitts topped his previous school record of 147' 2", which was set earlier this outdoor season at the Marc Randle Classic where he placed third in the event.

Pitts came back the next day with a season-best mark in the Shot Put, launching it 45'8" and placing 9th in the Louisiana Classics
