Deon Andrews was an integral part of Southern Arkansas' 2-1 week that culminated in SAU clinching a berth into the 2016 GAC Basketball Championships after they upset Ouachita Baptist 84-74. The GAC Tournament berth this season makes it five-straight years in which SAU has made the conference tournament.

For the week, Andrews was SAU's most-consistent player as he averaged 14.0 points per game on 52% (15-of-29) shooting overall from the floor while also logging a team-high 31.0 minutes per game

In perhaps SAU's most-important game of the week, Andrews had his best overall game as he scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with four rebounds and three assists; all in a game-high 36 minutes on the court.
