Donnie Denton, a NAIA All-America Honorable Mention in 1968 and two-time All-AIC basketball player (1967 & 1968) remains ranked in the top-15 on the Mulerider all-time scoring list. During his time on the hardwood, Denton helped lead Southern Arkansas to AIC Championships in 1966 and 1967. Those same two years, Denton and the Muleriders advanced to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
