Brooke White
Brooke (Bowling) White begins her second season as head coach of the Lady Muleriders.
White returned to Southern Arkansas last year from Phoenix, Ariz., where she was head volleyball coach the prior two seasons (2004-2005) and athletic director (2005-06) at North Pointe Preparatory. Her 2005 team was the Charter Athletic Association state runner-up. White also served as club coach of the Arizona Sky Volleyball Club.
A native of Burleson, Texas, White played collegiately at SAU from 1998-2001. A solid contributor in her four-year career, she helped lead Southern Arkansas to the Gulf South Conference tournament in 1998, and finished her career with 573 kills, 103 service aces, 898 digs and 122 blocks.
White moved to the sidelines in 2002 and 2003, serving as a graduate assistant coach, and helped guide SAU to a 22-12 record and a GSC tournament berth in ’03, their best season since 1996.
White received her B.S.E. in health, kinesiology and recreation in 2002 and her M.Ed. in kinesiology in 2004 from Southern Arkansas. She and her husband, Don, reside in Magnolia.
